What do Young Jeezy, Yelawolf, Nipsey Hustle, French Montana and Meek Mill all have in common? If you live in the Greater Toronto Area, you won’t be seeing them in concert anytime soon.
After unfortunate incidents involving gunfire took place at the Young Jeezy concert in Toronto, Ontario on April 4th and in London, Ontario on April 5th, Canada’s Border Service Agency seems to be cracking down on hip-hop artists.

Read the CBSA statement below (emphasis added):

Please find the Canada Border Services Agency response to your questions regarding some hip-hop artists having been turned away while trying to enter Canada.
What we can tell you on entry requirements to Canada is that all persons seeking entry to Canada must demonstrate that they meet the requirements to enter and/or stay in Canada.
Admissibility of travelers seeking to enter Canada is considered on a case-by-case basis on the specific facts presented by the applicant in each case.
Reasons for inadmissibility include criminality, security, organized crime and non-compliance with the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. For more information on reasons for inadmissibility, you may wish to consult the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act -

If you have committed or been convicted of a criminal offense, you may not be allowed to enter Canada. Criminal offences include both minor and serious offences, such as theft, assault, manslaughter, dangerous driving, and driving while under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
New regulations are in place related to certain foreign nationals who do not meet the requirements to overcome their criminal inadmissibility to be allowed to enter Canada with a one-time only, fee-exempt temporary resident permit.

The Breakfast Club Interviews No Malice About Name Change, Book and God

No Malice, formerly known as Malice of the Clipse, sat down with The Breakfast Club to discuss the new direction he’s taking with his life and music.

After watching many of his friends get locked up, the rapper chose to make a transformation with his music and leave his days of gangsta rap behind. “I think what my fans didn’t know, what they were witnessing was me battling myself,” he said. “I think the content of the stuff the Clipse always talked about, even though it’s very real, I think we did it too well and I think some people walked away with the wrong message from that especially seeing our friends, manager and people that we considered family get locked up. It was definitely an eye opener and I really don’t want to glorify that like that any longer.”

He also discussed his religious beliefs and the demons he battled, which he used to tell a story. His book, “Wretched, Pitiful, Poor Blind and Naked,” he says is “phenomenal.”

In addition to the book, the transformed rapper also has an upcoming solo mixtape and plans head out on tour.
